Maine & Mane Hair is a boutique salon in the heart of Darlinghurst. Owner, Cathy Ragg, has over 30 years experience in the industry and has expertise in both cutting and colour. A Wella master colourist, she has worked in the film industry, for model shoots, was an educator for Wella and has owned Maine & Mane for several decades.

Our salon was styled to pamper our clients in a comfortable and luxurious setting. The atmosphere is relaxed with soft lighting, sophisticated décor and smooth tunes to ensure our clients have an exclusive experience when at Maine & Mane.

Inspired by you, we create beautiful hair by listening to your wants and needs to create the perfect style.

Implementing new techniques, skills and ideas through constant education is key for Maine & Mane to remain current and on trend.

The focus is on making clients feel comfortable and pampered in a luxurious and elegant environment. Personalised attention, high quality products and a calm setting are achieved to ensure the clients needs are met.

Cathy has over 30 years experience in the industry and has expertise in both cutting and colour. Cathy is a renowned hairstylist and owner of Maine & Mane, a boutique hair salon in Darlinghurst.

Cathy grew up in Australia and trained under International companies Jean Louis David, Jacques desange & Vidal Sassoon. This European & English background has helped Cathy to found an award-winning salon in the heart of Sydney.

Maine & Mane ensures it works with the latest techniques in cutting and hair colour to provide real people an experience in an intimate setting. Cathy says, “At Maine & Mane we strive to work with our clients to create custom designed hair styles that reflect their lifestyle, needs and individuality.”
